Woodstock Primary Election 2022: Unofficial Results In

Unofficial primary election results are in after Woodstock voters cast their ballots in city, Cherokee County and state races.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Election Day is over in Woodstock, and voters have cast their ballots in the 2022 primary election. Unofficial results for Cherokee County showed all precincts complete late Tuesday.

This year, Cherokee County voters decided on chairperson of the county commissioners; county commissioners in districts 1 and 4; school board members in districts 3, 4, 5, and 6; tax commissioner; state court judge; solicitor general; U.S. Senate; state Senate districts 21, 32, and 56; state House districts 11, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 44, 46, 47; and U.S. House of Representatives districts 6 and 11.

Commission Chairman incumbent Republican Harry Johnston won with a steady lead, and will face Democrat Patricia Stephenson.

For Commission District 4, incumbent Republican Corey Ragsdale has the lead.

Incumbent Republican for Board of Education District 3 John Harmon will face Democrat Katie McRee.

For Board of Education District 4, Republican Incumbent Rick Steiner Rechsteiner took the lead.

It was a tight race for Board of Education District 5. Republicans Erin Ragsdale narrowly took the lead over Sean Kaufman. She will face Democrat Sean Jackson.

Board of Education District 6 also was a close race, with Republican Susan Padgett Harrison winning.

The ballot also included statewide elections, such as governor, secretary of state, attorney general, agriculture commissioner, insurance commissioner, state school superintendent and labor commissioner.
