How do you know the teacher?

I met her when she began student teaching at charter school at which I taught. That was over 20 years ago.

What does this person teach?

Currently, junior high arts.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

She has had a huge impact over the years on the art education for the children K through 8. She developed the arts program and continues to revise and expand it to fit the school's needs. Plus, she is adept at developing children's confidence as they build skills.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She is a strong light in the school and a wonderful mentor.
