2 D300 Students Hospitalized With COVID-19

ALGONQUIN, IL — Just two weeks into the school year, more than 300 Community Unit School District students have had to quarantine after being in close contact with the 48 students who've tested positive for COVID-19, the Northwest Herald is reporting.

School officials say that of those students, two have been hospitalized. They did not provide additional information regarding the severity of their illness.

A mask mandate for all inside buildings in Illinois as well as a requirement for school employees to get the COVID-19 vaccination is expected to be the latest requirements.
