Algonquin Businesses Picked For Awards

ALGONQUIN, IL – Village officials in Algonquin recently announced the winners of the Algonquin Business Awards Program.

The awards program is "a prestigious initiative designed to celebrate and recognize outstanding achievements, innovation, and contributions within the local business community," according to a news release from the village of Algonquin.

“The Algonquin Business Awards Program not only recognizes the hard work and achievements of our local businesses but also highlights the dynamic and diverse business landscape that is vital to our community's growth and prosperity,” said village president Debby Sosine.

Here is a look at this year's award winners in a variety of categories:

• Rehabilitation/Improvement Award: Garden on Main, 409 S Main St., for their efforts in enhancing an existing building or parcel within the village, including landscaping improvements.
• Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Pickle Haus/Hubbard Street Group, 1621 S Randall Road, recognized for their positive economic impact and investment in the village, encouraging further investment in the sector.
• Enduring Business Award: Cucina Bella, honored for their long-standing contribution to the community over more than five years.
• Budding Business Award: Antigua Mexican Grill, 2160 Lake Cook Road, acknowledged for introducing a unique business concept as a new entrant in the last five years, prioritizing local over national chains.
• Project of the Year Award: The Enclave, 1700 block of South Randall Road, celebrated for its architectural design, sound land planning, and adding six high-quality businesses to the community.

The Algonquin Business Awards Program is meant to acknowledge businesses that have made a notable difference in the community through their entrepreneurial spirit, sustainable practices, and remarkable growth, according to village officials.
