The Fastest Boston Marathon Finisher from Algonquin, LITH Is ...
Congrats to local runners who competed in the prestigious Boston Marathon on Monday.
Several area runners have accomplished the daunting task of finishing the Boston Marathon. On Monday, April 17, more than 30,000 runners took off from Hopkinton and traveled 26.2 miles to Boston.
Kenyan runner Geoffrey Kirui won the marathon with a time of 2:09:37 while Edna Kiplagat, also from Kenya, won the women's race with a time of 2:21.52.
J Lytle of Algonquin was the fastest runner to cross the finish line from Algonquin and Lake in the Hills with a time of 3:50:24, according to unofficial results. Here is a look at how other local runners fared:
