Algonquin Townhome Uninhabitable After Fire

The blaze broke out at the townhome in the 0 to 100 block of Rose Hill Court in Algonquin over the weekend.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Authorities are investigating a blaze that broke out in the basement of a townhome in Algonquin early Saturday.

No one was injured in the fire but the townhome, which is located in the 0 to 100 block of Rose Hill Court, has been left uninhabitable following the blaze, according to the Daily Herald. The fire was reported at about 2:30 a.m. after a resident heard popping noises coming from the basement and was able to get out of the home safely.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
