Another Algonquin Commons Restaurant Closes

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Houlihan’s in Algonquin has closed. The restaurant, which opened at the Algonquin Commons 13 years ago, made the “difficult decision” to close after considering “many factors,” according to a sign posted on the business’s door.

The restaurant at 1508 S. Randall Road closed on Nov. 12.

Houlihan’s staff was given the option of transferring to other locations in the Chicago area, according to the sign on the restaurant’s door.

Houlihan's was located in a prominent location at the Algonquin Commons, and leaves another space left empty by a restaurant. In 2016, Fudruckers closed at the Commons and that space has yet to be filled.

La Trattoria Mariano's, an Italian restaurant that moved from a strip mall in Lakewood to the Commons in 2012, closed in recent years as well.
