Barrington Road Resurfacing Starts Monday

The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing on Monday.

BARRINGTON, IL — Construction will begin on a stretch of Barrington Road next week.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing of Barrington Road from Farmington Road in South Barrington to Stone Canyon Way in Inverness on May 8.

The $1.8 million project also includes the installation of new storm sewers and culvert replacement on Lake Cook Road, just east of Wallingford Lane, in Deer Park.

To complete the work intermittent daytime lane closures will be required, according to a news release. Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction, which is anticipated to be completed in August.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
