Bull Still On The Loose In Barrington Hills

The 1,600-pound bull was first reported missing on Friday and is still on the loose, police said Monday.

The Barrington Hills Police Department is urging residents not to approach the bull and to call 911 if you do see it. It was first reported wandering an area near Route 62 and Old Sutton Road and was most recently spotted about a half-mile north of there.

BARRINGTON HILLS, IL — A 1,600-pound bull that was first reported missing Friday in Barrington Hills is still on the run.

The Barrington Hills Police Department is urging residents not to approach the bull and to call 911 if you do set it. It was first reported wandering near Route 62 and Old Sutton Road.

On Monday, authorities say a resident's security camera captured photos of the bull about a half-mile north of Route 62 and Old Sutton Road. The bull, police said, escaped from a local resident's property.

Authorities say the bull is brown and white and weighs 1600 pounds. And although the animal may seem friendly, residents should not approach it, according to a post on the Barrington Hills Facebook page.

The village urged residents once again not to approach it, but posted a tongue in cheek "FAQ" about the animal.
