MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The Friends of McHenry County College Foundation recently teamed up with nonprofit organization My Sister’s Dress to raise funds for scholarships in an effort to make prom more affordable for students.

More than 1,000 dresses were donated for this year’s sale. Dresses were priced at $25 each and accessories were sold for $5, according to a news release from McHenry County College.

“We are so grateful for the generosity and partnership of the My Sister’s Dress committee,” said Brian DiBona, executive director of the Friends of MCC Foundation. “Both this event and the scholarship program make a meaningful difference in the lives of students in our community.”
