Exploring the Blues with John Primer

"Exploring the Blues with blues legend John Primer" the Joliet Area Historical Museum's FREE Virtual Series - Thursday, Feb. 11th at 6pm

Join us as we explore the BLUES with Chicago Blues Legend JOHN PRIMER via our new Virtual Historical Program Series. As we celebrate Black History Month, you'll get an up front and personal musical biography about John's blues life, his views on the history of the blues and how he sees today's blues music. John will tell stories about his life growing up in 1945 in MS on sharecropper land, his family life, and his migration to Chicago in 1963.

Listen to John's storied history of learning the blues at the famous Theresa's Lounge from all the blues legends, joining the bands of Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters, and Magic Slim and then becoming his own band leader for his Real Deal Blues Band. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the Blues with a living legend!

This virtual program will be hosted by Zoom and is FREE and open to the public, though registration is limited and required. Brought to you by the Joliet Area Historical Museum, Joliet Public Library, and Wermer, Rogers, Doran, Ruzon CPA's.
