ALGONQUIN AND LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

July 4 Festivities

What: Independence Day Fireworks Show
Where: Deicke/Warrington Park
When: Party in the park begins at 7 p.m. on July 4. Fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m.

What: Crystal Lake Fireworks and Concert
Where: Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake
When: Gates open at 9 a.m. on July 3 for the Lakeside Festival. From 7 to 9:30 p.m. July 3, Voices in Harmony and the Crystal Lake Community band will perform. Fireworks at dusk.

What: Summer Celebration
Where: Rotary Band Shell in Lions Park, 1200 Silver Lake Road, Cary
When: Family festivities start at 6 p.m. July 1 in Lions Park and continue until 10 p.m. There will be music, food truck and fireworks. Admission is free, pavement parking is $10 and grass parking is $5.

What: Fox River Grove fireworks celebration
Where: Picnic Grove Park, 598 Birch Lane, Fox River Grove
When: The annual fireworks celebration kicks off at 5:30 p.m. July 9 and includes food, drinks, music and fireworks. No entry after 9 p.m. Shuttle buses are available and more information can be found here.
