Lake In The Hills Man Identified As Fatal Crash Victim: Coroner

Jordan Bergmann, 31, suffered blunt force trauma in the accident in which his truck struck a guardrail and flipped onto its roof.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The McHenry County coroner has identified the victim of a deadly car accident that took place Wednesday night as a Lake In the Hills man who died from blunt force trauma in the crash, officials announced Friday.

Jordan Bergmann, 31 was identified as the victim of the accident, which took place on West Algonquin Road at 9:20 p.m. McHenry County Coroner Michael Rein said Friday that Bergmann, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, suffered blunt force trauma in the single-vehicle accident.

A toxicology report into the crash is pending, the coroner said. Rein’s office is working with the Lake In the Hills Police Department to determine the cause of the accident.

Police said that the crash remains under investigation.

Bergmann was killed when the Toyota truck he was driving struck a guardrail after the driver lost control of the vehicle in the 1100 block of West Algonquin Road near Pyott Road. The truck flipped over and landed on its roof.

Bergmann was the only person in the truck and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
