LITH Police Release Results From Traffic Detail

The local police department handed out 16 citations during the recent traffic detail.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The results are in from a recent traffic detail in Lake in the Hills. From July 26 through Aug. 12, the Lake in the Hills Police Department focused extra enforcement efforts on keeping alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers off the roads, authorities said.

During the detail, police arrested one person for driving while license suspended and issued one seat belt citation, one citation for driving without insurance, two non-moving citations and 11 speeding citations.

The special patrol, funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation Sustained Traffic Program, included 28 additional patrol hours, police said.
