Living in community

A journey through life together

Alpha starting April 3rd

I saw an article on Patch this week that said Walgreens was going to begin selling an abortion pill next week. My first thought was, "Wow, that's an intense topic for which people have different beliefs." But it got me thinking about how many different beliefs we all have while living in such close proximity together.

Not everyone will agree on this, but one of the goals for any society listed by ChatGPT was this, "To cultivate a culture of respect for diverse perspectives, beliefs, and identities, while fostering understanding and unity." I'm not even sure how I feel about ChatGPT and AI, but I thought that was a pretty good goal.

Easter is coming up at the end of March, and that is a truth we can all agree on. But there are many different beliefs about what it means. For some Easter is bunnies and eggs, for some it might just mean a day off work or school, but for some it is a celebration of an event that impacts this life and the next.

If you are interested in a safe space to talk about your beliefs on life, while enjoying some free food and hearing a unique perspective on life, come join an ALPHA group hosted by Springbrook beginning April 3rd. If you are interested or have questions, simply text the word ALPHA to 1-844-238-7507 or visit Springbrook.org/alpha.

There are many opinions that can divide us, especially in an election year, but I am sure grateful for the community in which we live!
