ALGONQUIN AND LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Last week, we were talking snow, but this week it's all about the heat.

A high of 73 degrees is in the forecast on Monday in Algonquin and Lake in the Hills and temps could hit 81 degrees on Tuesday. If you are planning a park date with your kids and some friends, or opting to get out and enjoy some ice cream, here's a look at when to expect some heat:

  • 8 a.m. Monday: 43 degrees
  • 11 a.m. Monday: 58 degrees
  • 2 p.m. Monday: 70 degrees
  • 5 p.m. Monday: 73 degrees
  • 8 p.m. Monday: 69 degrees
  • 2 a.m. Tuesday: 63 degrees
  • 8 a.m. Tuesday: 63 degrees
  • 11 a.m. Tuesday: 74 degrees
  • 2 p.m. Tuesday: 80 degrees
  • 3-4 p.m. Tuesday: 81 degrees
  • 5 p.m. Tuesday: 80 degrees
  • 7 p.m. Tuesday: 78 degrees
  • 12 a.m. Wednesday: 66 degrees
  • 3 a.m. Wednesday: 61 degrees
  • 6 a.m. Wednesday: 56 degrees

Both Monday and Tuesday will be breezy, with wind gusts as high as 35 mph possible on Tuesday. Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night before temps dip back into the 60s for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Algonquin.
