Resurfacing Work On LITH Streets Set To Get Underway Next Week

Geske & Sons was awarded the contract to resurface the 3.02 miles of the village's 91 miles of road.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Several roadways are expected to be resurfaced this summer in Lake in the Hills.

The 2024 MFT Road Resurfacing Program is anticipated to start during the week of June 17 and should wrap up by mid-August, according to a village of Lake in the Hills news release. A full list of streets that are set to be resurfaced in the village this year can be found here.

In preparation for the project, village staff will place “pardon our dust” signs at the perimeter of each work zone, according to the news release.

Throughout the process, the existing asphalt surfaces will be ground down and replaced with new asphalt driving surfaces. When necessary, crosswalk interfaces will be upgraded to meet ADA standards, according to the news release.
