Road Resurfacing, Sidewalk Replacement Continues in LITH

Crews completed the sidewalk and curb replacement work west of Randall Road and are now starting work on the eastern portion of town.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Crews are continuing to resurface roadways and replace failing curbs and sidewalks in town, village officials said. Last week, a village-hired contractor completed the sidewalk and curb replacement work west of Randall Road in the village and started the sidewalk and curb replacement work east of Randall Road.

The contractor also began milling down sections of roadway west of Randall Road that are scheduled to be resurfaced, according to a village update. Village staff have placed "pardon our dust" signs at each work location.

This summer, 4.7 of the 91 miles of roadway in Lake in the Hills will be resurfaced and crews will also replace adjacent failing sections of curb and sidewalk. The project should be complete by Aug. 30.
