September 3rd Golf Fundraiser announces event sponsor

The Take a Shot at Hunger Golf Fundraiser organizing committee is proud to announce that The Burwood Group will be the event sponsor for the 16th Annual Take a Shot at Hunger Golf Fundraiser.

The Take a Shot at Hunger Golf Fundraiser supports the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry. In the previous 15 years, the fundraiser has raised over $168,000 in support of the food insecure in the communities of Algonquin and Lake in the Hills. Food Pantry President Kathy Mountain credits the fundraiser with providing funds that helped the Pantry continue its mission through the pandemic. The event has drawn over 100 golfers in non-covid impacted years. The organizers are expecting a similar crowd this year. The event will be held at Pinecrest Golf Club in Huntley, on September 3rd.
