Traffic Delayed At WB IL-62, Ryan Parkway After Pavement Buckles

The Village and police advise drivers to find alternate routes, according to a release.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Village of Algonquin said Wednesday afternoon the Algonquin Police Department is advising the public to avoid the area of westbound IL-62 (Algonquin Road) near Ryan Parkway after the pavement buckled. According to a release from the Village, drivers are advised to find a different route, as the pavement buckle caused significant traffic backups and other issues.

While the roadway is passable, there will be what officials describe as extreme delays.

I.D.O.T. has been notified.
