Trick-Or-Treat Hours Set For Algonquin, Lake In The Hills

Halloween is fast approaching. We've got a round up of trick-or-treat hours and local events worth checking out.

ALGONQUIN AND LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Halloween is right around on the corner and it will soon be time to get out and about for some tricks or treats.

Oct. 31 falls on a Tuesday this year. In Lake in the Hills, the suggested hours for trick-or-treating are from 2 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31. In Algonquin, trick-or-treat hours are set for 3 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Old Town Trick-Or-Treat Trail in Algonquin: Put on your Halloween costume and stop out to the third annual Old Town Trick-or-Treat Trail on South Main Street in Algonquin. This year the trail will run from Madison Street to Route 62 from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, with the street full of trick-or-treat stops at downtown businesses on Main Street. There will be plenty of fun activities for the kids, including the return of pumpkin painting.

Safety Town Trick-or-Treat in Lake in the Hills: The trick-or-treat event will run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Irv Floress Safety Education Center at 1109 Crystal Lake Road in Lake in the Hills. Families can stop out to visit family friendly monsters, ghosts and ghouls along with local officers, police explorers and community volunteers. Children can stop at the mini-buildings in safety town to collect candy and visit with the fun and friendly Halloween creatures. The event is free.

Free Truck-Or-Treat at Main Beach: On Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. go 12 p.m. Get into your costume and head over toe Main Beach for trick-or-treating.

Halloween Walk at Jewel-Osco in Cary: On Saturday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce's Annual Halloween Walk will include trick-or-treating at the Jewel Shopping Center along Route 14 in Cary.
