Vero Voce Holds Auditions for The Christmas Schooner from 2-6pm on October 13th, 2019.
(St Charles) Vero Voce Theater will hold auditions by appointment on Sunday, October 13, 2019, 2:00-6:00 pm at Vero Voce Theater, 3755 East Main Street, #158, St Charles, IL 60174.
Vero Voce is specifically seeking adult male and female singer/actors and teens and children as needed to comprise family units and ensemble roles.
Auditions will include cold reading and one 16-bar classic Musical Theater selection in your key. A live accompanist will be provided. No acapella singing or accompaniment tracks permitted. Audition appointments are made online at http://verovoce.com/audition-form.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00-10:00 pm. Children will be released at 8:30 pm on those days. Rehearsals begin October 15, 2019. Tech week begins Dec 16, 2019 and will run Monday through Thursday that week.

Based on the historic Great Lakes voyages of Christmas tree ships during the late 1800s and early 1900s, The Christmas Schooner tells the true story of a Michigan shipping captain who braves the deadly winter weather to bring Christmas trees to homesick German-American families in turn-of-the-century Chicago. His voyages become a yearly tradition, despite his wife's misgivings – until a fateful voyage makes her realize the true importance of his mission.
A timely and stirring tale of love and loss, The Christmas Schooner reminds us of tradition, family and responsibility. This delightful holiday musical requires strong male talent and a sensibility for classically inspired material.
Performance dates are December 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & 29, 2019 and times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 pm, Sundays at 6:00 pm. Performances will be held at Vero Voce, 3755 East Main St, STE 158, St Charles, IL 60174. Tickets may be purchased online at www.verovoce.com.
