MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — We have had plenty of hot days so far this summer in McHenry County. And what hits the spot better when the temps are sizzling than a delicious ice cream treat?

Thankfully, McHenry County has plenty of great spots to stop and grab some amazing ice cream or custard. In fact, there are so many that it can sometimes be difficult to pick just one.

But most of us have a local spot we make a point to stop out to when we are craving a sweet treat. It may be just around the block, or it may be a few towns over. Sometimes the perfect scoop of ice cream is worth the drive.
