Winter Storm Watch: CUSD 300 Students Can Expect School Tuesday

A decision regarding after school and evening activities and events scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25 will be announced by noon that day.

ALGONQUIN, IL — As the National Weather Service continues issuing winter storm watches into counties further south of Chicago, including McHenry, Community Unit School District 300 officials are addressing school operations for Tuesday. In a statement issued Monday afternoon on the district's website and on social media, officials wrote they don't anticipate any impact on school operations during the day Tuesday, however a decision regarding after school and evening activities and events scheduled for Tuesday will be announced by 12 p.m. (Tuesday).

"As a reminder, if we have a snow day the make-up date will be Monday, April 13th. This will be a regular attendance day," according to district officials. "Of course, all of this may change over the next 12 hours. You will receive an RCS email and phone call if we believe that the weather will impact our normal operations."
