$100K Traffic Improvements Approved By Cook County For Schaumburg

The Board of Commissioners approved funding Thursday for transportation-related projects and initiatives led by the County's DoTH.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Funding for construction of a pedestrian crossing, and traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Higgins Road and National Parkway, was approved Thursday by the Cook County Board of Commissioners. Schaumburg will receive $100,000 for the study.

The transportation-related projects and initiatives led by the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways, according to a press release. The board said these vital projects "boost economic development, build up regional transportation and improve the quality of life throughout Cook County."
