Arlington Heights Road Closing At Rail Crossing Feb. 10

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area this week.

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that repairs to the Union Pacific Railroad crossing on Arlington Heights Road, just south of Northwest Highway (U.S.14), in Arlington Heights, will require a full closure starting, weather permitting, 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10.

A detour will direct motorists to Central Road and Northwest Highway.

The work is expected to be complete by, weather permitting, 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to detour signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
