Best Ice Cream Place Near Arlington Heights: Readers Pick

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — We asked Arlington Heights Patch readers this week to give us their best ice cream place recommendations. And the results on your favorite spots are now in.

It was a close call between the top three vote-getters, but Capannari Ice Cream and Catering in Mount Prospect beat out Kilwins Arlington Heights and Comet Frozen Custard & Coffee (Rolling Meadows). Our reader's poll ran from last Friday through Thursday.

Capannari Ice Cream and Catering, located at 10 S Pine St., Mount Prospect, opened its doors in 2001.

Readers taking our poll raved about the ice cream being homemade, rich and creamy at Capannari.

"Creamiest, best tasting ice cream ever! Nicest location, great staff, vegan options are always available," wrote one reader.

Another reader said what makes it the best in town is it's "family-owned and operated; quality made hand-dipped ice cream."
