HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — With the Paris Olympic Summer Games set for next year, seven-time medalist Simone Biles is ready to get back into competition and will be making her return locally. The 26-year-old, who hasn't competed since the 202o Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021 due to the pandemic), will be part of August's U.S. Classic at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates.

USA Gymnastics made the announcement Wednesday regarding Biles, who will be joined by 10 other Olympians at the two-day competition on Aug. 4-5.

"It is exciting to think about the level of talent and historical legacy of the field that may compete at U.S. Classic," USA Gymnastics Chief Programs Officer Stefanie Korepin said on the USA Gymnastics website. "Every athlete is at a different place in their season and career, and we will support each of them, wherever they are in their journey."
