Elk Grove Village Martial Artists Fundraising For Junior Olympics
The funds will help with tournament fees, lodging costs, meals and airfare, according to a GoFundMe campaign.
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — With the potential to compete in Florida, North Carolina and Mexico, as well as other local tournaments and even the Junior Olympics, an Elk Grove Village martial arts academy needs some travel money. A GoFundMe campaign has been organized for Kennedy's Martial Arts Academy, located at 1199 Biesterfield Road.
According to the campaign, KMAA is attempting to compete in Karate and Taekwondo Nationals in Florida, Junior Olympics in North Carolina, WUKF Karate World Championships in Mexico. The funds raised will help with tournament fees, lodging costs, meals and airfare, according to organizer Marie Kennedy.
"Please help these athletes achieve their dreams," Kennedy said. "We appreciate any amount you can spare."
