ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Do you have an artistically-inclined young person at home that might be interested in entering a fall art contest? State Rep. Mary Beth Canty (D-Arlington Heights) is looking for local artists enrolled in District 54 elementary schools as part of her, "Mary Beth's Rotating Art Museum."

The winning art, which will be judged by celebrity judges, will be put on display at Canty's district office in Arlington Heights and in her Springfield, as well as be featured on social media, according to her office.

"I'm excited to invite kids enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th grade in our community to submit art to help decorate my new offices," Canty said. "This is a great opportunity for kids to get involved in local government and show off their artistic talents to everyone who comes through my offices — from other members of our community to state officials."
