June 13 FamilyFOREward Golf Outing will raise funds for families

Swing for a good cause!

Arlington Heights based nonprofit FamilyForward will host its third annual FamilyFOREward Golf Outing on Thursday, June 13, and this year it will be held at Chevy Chase Country Club (1000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling). Golfers of all skill levels are invited to gather a foursome and register for this fun event. Individuals are welcome, too, and will be placed in a foursome. Proceeds from the event will help low-income, working families in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. “The FamilyFOREward Golf Outing promises to be an exciting day on the links with friends, all to support local families and create a stronger community in the process,” said Erica Chianelli, FamilyForward executive director.

The schedule for June 13 includes check-in at 11 am, followed by a shotgun start at noon. Participants will enjoy 18 holes of golf (scramble format), a hotdog lunch and a concluding program at 5 pm featuring prizes and a buffet dinner. The registration fee is $700 for a foursome or $185 for a single golfer with Early Bird Registration by May 1. After that, prices increase by $50 for foursomes and $10 for individuals. Registration closes May 30. To register, visit family-forward.org/golf-outing. Contact Chianelli with questions or to sponsor this event, at [email protected] or 847-342-0846. May 20 is the sponsor deadline.

FamilyForward serves low-income, working families in the northwest suburbs by providing rent assistance, tailored, needs-based mentoring, and other services for up to two years. “Our targeted program helps clients learn and put into practice solid financial principles and develop important career-advancement and life skills,” Chianelli said. “The FamilyFOREward Golf Outing is an important way to help us fund our work to empower families.” To learn more about FamilyForward and how to get involved, visit family-forward.org.
