Juveniles Spray-Paint Racial Slur At Ball Field: Mt Prospect PD

The two males, who were arrested last week, also spray-painted a derogatory term, according to police.

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — Two juveniles have been arrested following a vandalism incident last week at a baseball field in Mount Prospect. According to police, the 14-year-old males spray-painted a racial slur and a derogatory term at Busse Park, 111 N. Owen St.

Police were called to the park at around 6:22 p.m. Monday, July 1. The juveniles had left the park on bicycles prior to police arrival.

Soon thereafter, an officer found the two a short distance from the park and discovered cans of spray paint in their possession that matched the damage done at the park. Police had found spray paint on benches and a supply storage container. The graffiti was promptly removed by the Mount Prospect Park District, according to police.
