Lifelong AH Resident Jean M. 'Patty' Ellerthorpe Dies At 91

Ms. Ellerthorpe was a seventh-generation resident of Arlington Heights.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL -- Jean “Patty” M. Ellerthorpe, 91, a life-long resident of Arlington Heights passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 in Arlington Heights.

Patty was a seventh generation descendant of the Robert Foresman Family, who immigrated from Ireland in the 1700s. She will be remembered fondly by family, friends and neighbors for her welcoming and fun personality. If you met her, you were soon her friend and invited to one of her many “famed” parties. Patty was very talented, many were recipients of her stained glasswork, paintings or sewing projects.

She is survived by her children, Dirk (Terri) Christiansen and Kim Christiansen; her grandchildren, Jennifer Christiansen, Andy Christiansen, Kristie Swanson and Eric (Taylor) Swanson.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Ellerthorpe; and her sister, Joan (Foresman) Ireland.

The family would like to thank JourneyCare Hospice Staff at Northwest Community Hospital, in Arlington Heights, for their dedication, care and support for Patty and her family.
