Mount Prospect Teen To Appear On American Idol

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — A Mount Prospect teen who won $30,000 after appearing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Whiz Kids Week in 2017 will get another shot at reality TV stardom this weekend. Claire Jolie Goodman, 17, will appear on Sunday's American Idol as she competes for a golden ticket to Hollywood, according to the Daily Herald.

After her reality TV appearance in 2017, Claire gave a portion of her winnings to the theater program where she has taken classes, Metropolis School of Performing Arts in Arlington Heights, according to the article. The local school used the funds to create a Music and Script Library and named it in her honor.
