ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Residents, commuters and merchants who regularly use the Vail Parking Garage will need to make alternate plans for the next two months. Repairs on the garage at 22 S. Vail Ave. will begin on Monday, Oct. 2, according to the Village of Arlington Heights.

Officials said commuter parking will be eliminated during this time to make room for residential and merchant permit parking. Commuters will need to utilize other Arlington Heights parking lots until this project is complete. A map of municipal lots can be found at vah.com/Parking.

According to the Village, the parking garage rehabilitation program will address maintenance-related issues and helps to ensure the longevity and safety of parking structures in downtown Arlington Heights, including the Vail garage.
