Resident Charged With Arson: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The 21-year-old is due back in court on Sept. 3, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

  • Damion C. Battaglia, of the 1000 block of Harrison Lane, Hoffman Estates, is accused of aggravated battery in a public place, mob action, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Aug. 5, at Mago Grill, 115 W. Campbell St.
  • Greg M. Wunderle, 42, of the 900 block of N. Douglas Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 7:24 p.m. Aug. 7, at North School Park, 109 S. Belmont. He was released and assigned a court date of Oct. 1.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Andres Belli-Chapol, 26, of the 1400 block of S. Brownstone Court, Mount Prospect, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, operating a motor vehicle with no license, and was arrested at 1:26 a.m. Aug. 4, in the 1900 block of E. Goebberts Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 5.

TRESPASS FROM VILLAGE PARKING FACILITY

Joseph G. Breton, 18, of the 20 block of S. Busse Road, Mount Prospect, is accused of violating Village ordinances at a parking facility, and was arrested and trespassed at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 5, at the Vail Avenue Garage. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 10

RETAIL THEFT

Juan A. Contreras, 23, of the 2500 block of Christina Avenue, Chicago, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 10:35 a.m. Aug. 7, at Ulta Beauty, 13 W. Rand Road. A court date of Oct. 1 was assigned.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO BUILDING

David A. Martin, 53, of the 800 block of Arthur Avenue, Arlington Heights, is accused of criminal trespass to a building, and was arrested at 3:25 p.m. Aug. 4, in the 800 block of Arthur Avenue. He was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 12.

ARSON

Vuk P. Petrovic, 21, of the 1500 block of Pheasant Trail, Arlington Heights, is accused of arson, and was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Aug. 2, in the 0-10 block of E. College Drive. A court date of Sept. 3 was assigned.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

  • Anna L. Schmidt, of the 8900 block of Central Avenue, Morton Grove, is accused of two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested at 4:59 Aug. 7, at Red Roof Inn, 22 W. Algonquin Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Aug. 12.
  • Alexsandr Volkov, 37, of the 800 block of Bernard Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested at 4:07 p.m. Aug. 2, in the 800 block of Bernard Drive. A court date of Sept. 30 was assigned.
