Schaumburg Boomers Prepare For Upcoming Start Of Baseball Season
The MLB Partner League professional baseball team released its promotional schedule for the season, with first game set for May.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — While the Cubs and White Sox are nearly 20 games into their respective MLB seasons, another local professional team is still a few weeks away from the start of its season. The Schaumburg Boomers, who call Wintrust Field home, will throw out the season's opening pitch on May 13.
The Boomers, founded in 2011, are a MLB Partner League team and play in the Frontier League. Schaumburg has won the league's championship four times, the last being in 2021.
The Boomers will play 47 home games this season at Wintrust Field. Schaumburg has been named the Frontier League's organization of the year four times (2013, 2016, 2017 and 2021).
