Scratchboard Kitchen Brings Exciting Dinner Options to the NW Suburbs

Arlington Heights-based restaurant expands dinner service featuring exclusive drink specials and a kid's menu for the first time

Scratchboard Kitchen (5 W Campbell St), a chef-driven restaurant that celebrates the seasonal flavors of the Midwest by sourcing as locally as possible, is bringing exciting dinner options to the Northwest suburbs. Due to demand from local residents, the downtown Arlington Heights-based restaurant is offering a dinner service Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the addition of a Saturday night service by the end of August.

Known for its scratch-made dishes and beverages that rotate seasonally, Scratchboard Kitchen invites guests to build and create a memorable, yet delicious, experience through its newest dinner menu designed to share amongst friends and family. Restaurant guests will have access to exclusive offerings that include half-priced bottles of wine on Thursday nights and a happy hour with cocktail specials from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday. In addition to the dinner menu, Scratchboard Kitchen will also offer a kid’s menu featuring beloved classic meals, including chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and buttered gnocchi with seasonal fruit.

    • Cheese Plate - $12: pecorino cheese, cherry blossom almonds, peaches, Heaven’s Honey

“I’m thrilled to bring even more exciting dinner options to the community of Arlington Heights and beyond,” said Danielle Kuhn, owner and founder of Scratchboard Kitchen. “Since we opened Scratchboard Kitchen three years ago, it’s been our goal to expand beyond breakfast and lunch services, and after careful thought and attention to curating the perfect menu along with our executive chef Grace Goudie, we are looking forward to sharing this experience with our guests.”

In unison with Arlington Alfresco, Scratchboard Kitchen offers a 68-seat outdoor patio where guests can wine and dine in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights all summer long. The chef-driven restaurant also makes a great event space for special occasions, and inquiries for private events can be made here. Scratchboard Kitchen weekly hours include:

  • Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (starting end of August)
