Scratchboard Kitchen Now Accepting Job Applications

Offering Competitive Pay and Benefits, Restaurant Brings Elevated Dining to Arlington Heights

Scratchboard Kitchen, a restaurant that prides itself in offering unconventional yet familiar food and drinks made from scratch, is now accepting applications for hospitality professionals both for front-of-house and back-of-house. Winner of Readers’ Choice Daily Herald "Best New Restaurant" in 2021, "Top Picks for Best Brunch," and "Best Business Lunch" this past year, Scratchboard Kitchen is offering a unique opportunity to work alongside executive chef Grace Goudie, who worked under renowned chef Thomas Keller at Ad Hoc and The French Laundry. The restaurant is conveniently located by the Metra Northwest line in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights at 5 W Campbell St.

With numerous positions available for all experience levels across the hospitality industry, all Scratchboard Kitchen team members will receive competitive pay. Full-time employees, both salary and hourly, are eligible for health insurance with 50% of the premium paid by the employer, including the optional choice of vision and dental coverage. Open full-time positions include Kitchen Manager, Floor Manager, Dishwasher, AM Line Cook, and PM Line Cook, along with part-time positions for a Bartender, Host, and Server.

In addition, Scratchboard Kitchen will be taking part in a career fair at Kendall College (18 S Michigan Ave 3rd Floor) on Tuesday, January 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where students and those interested can learn more about its mission of creating scratch-made dishes and cocktails with locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to meet and discuss further available positions with its owner and founder, Danielle Kuhn, and chef Grace Goudie.
