Serious Injury Traffic Crash Closes Part Of Road: Arlington Heights PD

Preliminary reports indicate the Tuesday evening crash involved a motorcycle and car, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A portion of the eastbound lane of Lake Cook Road is closed Tuesday night between Route 53 and Arlington Heights Road following a serious traffic injury traffic crash. According to preliminary information, the crash involved a car and motorcycle at 3:51 p.m.

Police are asking motorists to find alternate routes of travel as an investigation is ongoing and will last several hours.

The Major Case Assistance Team – Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction unit was activated to provide technical assistance. Buffalo Grove Police officers are also assisting with traffic control.
