Where To See Santa In Arlington Heights This Christmas Season

There will be plenty of chances to catch jolly old St. Nick in Arlington Heights and across Chicagoland this holiday season.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Arlington Heights families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In Arlington Heights, kids have several chances:

  • Rotary Santa Run, Dec. 2, Arlington Heights. Santas will be everywhere at the annual Rotary Club of Arlington Heights event. Reindeer dash at 9:30 a.m.; runner warm-up at 9:45 a.m.; race at 10 a.m. Run is a 5K and there is also a one-mile walk. To learn more and register, visit here.
  • Breakfast for Dinner with Santa, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 5, Golden Brunch, 31 E. Golf Road, Arlington Heights. It's a pajama-packed evening with a buffet-style breakfast, photos with Santa, who will read a story at 6 p.m. Reserve your spot here.
  • Breakfast with Santa, 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Dec. 9, Twin Lakes Clubhouse, 1200 E. Twin Lakes Drive, Palatine. Food, games, crafts and Santa Claus. Breakfast served until 10:45 a.m. with brunch going from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Registration required. Find out more here.
  • Winter Frostival, Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont St., Arlington Heights. 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. As part of this Arlington Heights Park District-sponsored event, visit with the Ice Princess, Ice Queen, and Santa Claus, write a letter to Santa or Jack Frost and get a letter back, enjoy cookies, cocoa, carolers, and crafts, and stop in for The Mitten story time and visit with a hedgehog, fox, owl, and other animals from the book. It’s free, frosty, family fun!
  • Berry Yo, 50 N. Vail Ave., Arlington Heights. Santa will be there from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Get your photo taken with Santa, who will read everyone a story at 7:15 pm. There will be a free hot cocoa bar. The event has sold out! Reservations required here.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged. There is a location at 5225 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates.

Santa will also be at Macy’s stores in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Orlando. In Chicago, Santa arrived at the 111 N. State St. location on Nov. 4 and will be there through Christmas Eve. Reservations are required. Find out more here. There is also a Macy's located nearby at Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg.

Santa is coming to Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores on Black Friday, which is Nov. 24 this year. Nordstrom is located at Woodfield Mall, 6 Woodfield Shopping Center, Schaumburg. Norstrom Rack can be found at Woodfield Village Green, 1520 E. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
