2024 Football Schedule Released For Buffalo Grove High School

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — In just a month, local high school football players will be taking to the gridiron as practices can officially start on Aug. 12.

A nine-game regular season, released Thursday, runs through the end of October, before culminating with the Illinois High School Association Football State Finals (November 29 to 30) at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal. The IHSA will be celebrating its 50th state championship games.

In Buffalo Grove, fans will especially be keeping tabs on the Bison.

Jeffrey Vlk returns as the head coach of the varsity Buffalo Grove High School football team, which finished the 2023 season with a 6-4 overall record in the Mid-Suburban East. This fall, the Bison will be joined by defending league champions John Hersey (Arlington Heights), Prospect (Mount Prospect), Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village), Rolling Meadows and Wheeling.
