Halloween 2023: Buffalo Grove Recommends Trick-Or-Treating Hours

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — With Halloween a little over a month away, residents can start planning whether they have little ones going out to trick-or-treat or they need to head to the store for some candy.

For those who choose to participate in the holiday on Tuesday, Oct. 31, the Village of Buffalo Grove is recommending the hours of between 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to turn on exterior lights to show they are welcoming trick-or-treaters during that time

In addition, the Buffalo Grove Park District is holding its Trick-Or-Treat Trail event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Community Arts Center, 225 McHenry Road. Organizers said friendly characters will hand out candy to all children, 12 years and under. There will also be games, entertainment, and more family fun.

This event is a no scare zone. Parents must accompany children during the entire event. The event is free. The first 200 kids will receive goodie bags.
