BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge saw another 8 percent weekly increase in its coronavirus caseload, rising by nine cases to 126, according to county health authorities.

In a statement last week, Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso said he doubted new state restrictions would be imposed as a result of the pandemic. As of last Wednesday, he noted, DuPage County reported a 4 percent positivity rate for coronavirus testing, with no change in positivity for two weeks. The county's hospitalizations have fallen by 43 percent in the last four weeks, and intensive care unit bed availability is 42 percent, the mayor said.
