Burr Ridge Receives Over 4 Inches Of Rain

The good news is that the rain should stay away this weekend, and Saturday and Sunday should be sunny.

BURR RIDGE, IL — The rain over the past two days has brought Burr Ridge nearly five inches of rain. According to the 2-day rainfall round-up from the National Weather Service, Burr Ridge received 4.51 inches of rain as of 10:12 a.m. Friday.

Burr Ridge received the second most amount of rain out of communities in the area. The communities that received the most rain were Monee with 5.68 inches, Burr Ridge with 4.51 inches and Minooka with 4.42 inches.

The rain should slowly stop this afternoon, although localized flooding will continue in some areas. There will be periods of moderate to briefly heavy rain through mid-afternoon. Since there is also so much rain, any additional rain may cause localized flash flooding, according to the NWS.

The good news is that the rain should stay away this weekend, and Saturday and Sunday should be sunny. Temps will be in the mid-70s on Saturday, and there is a high of 82 degrees on Sunday, according to the NWS.
