Channahon Drug Dealer Charged With Parole Violation: Grundy Sheriff

Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley issued a press release regarding Tuesday's arrest of parole violator Nicolas Pouncy, 24, of Channahon.

CHANNAHON — After a prior stint at the Illinois Department of Corrections, 24-year-old Channahon resident Nicholas Pouncy now finds himself staying in Morris, behind bars at the Grundy County Jail. Authorities at the Grundy County Sheriff's Office took Pouncy into custody on Tuesday pertaining to a parole violation compliance check.

Pouncy was on parole for being a felon in possession of a weapon.

According to Grundy County, deputies went to Pouncy's residence in the 26000 block of Raintree Court and during the parole compliance check, 75 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 255 Oxycodone pills, eight pills of Ecstasy, 44 pills of Clonazepam and 3,152 grams of marijuana were discovered.

A stolen handgun was also recovered, the sheriff's agency noted.

Grundy County had the Channahon resident charged with four counts of possession of controlled substances, possession of controlled substances with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of cocaine and five additional drug dealing charges.

Pouncy was issued a no-bond parole violation warrant from the Illinois Department of Corrections, and he will remain in the Grundy Jail, sheriff's officials said.
