4EG Bars in Chicago Host Pride Month Fundraiser

Seven bars located across several Chicago neighborhoods are serving up Pride Months specials to benefit Center on Halsted

From now until Sunday, June 30, Four Entertainment Group (4EG) locations in Chicago are raising proceeds to benefit the Center on Halsted. Seven bars will participate in the initiative including aliveOne in Lincoln Park, Central Park Bar in Avondale, Easy Bar and Estelle’s in Wicker Park, Remedy in Bucktown, The Owl in Logan Square and the newly opened The Getaway in Lincoln Square.

Center on Halsted is the Midwest's most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) people of Chicagoland.

Fundraisers at each location will benefit Center on Halsted and are as follows:

aliveOne (2683 N Halsted St) will donate $1 from each "The Becky" cocktail sold. The cocktail is $11 each and features Tito's, Pamplemousse La Croix, fresh lime juice, and demerara syrup.

Central Park Bar (2924 N Central Park Ave) will donate $1 from every Pink on Wednesdays cocktail sold, which features Ha’Penny Rhubarb Gin, BroVo Pink Rosé Vermouth, Campari, Maplewood Bitter Orange Liqueur, Peychaud's bitters, and Regan's Orange bitters.

Easy Bar (1944 W Division St) will donate $1 from every Brooklyn Brewery The Stonewall Inn IPA sold. Stonewall Inn IPA is the official beer of the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative for the month of June. The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI) is a non-profit charitable organization inspired by the struggles and ideals of the LGBTQ rights movement born from the Stonewall Inn Uprising of 1969.

Estelle’s (2013 W North Ave. Chicago) will give $1 from every house cocktail sold. House cocktails include the Baiju Burro, Estelle’s version of a Mezcal Mule and classics like the Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Gimlet and more.

Remedy (1910 N Milwaukee Ave) is featuring a $13 “Ginger Forest” cocktail with $1 from every drink sold being donated. The drink features Dickel Rye Whisky, ginger beer, ginger liqueur, and lime.

On Thursday, June 27, Remedy will also host a special Pride Month edition of their “Lip Sync Happy Hour” drag show led by comedy drag queen Ginger Forest and diva Ranger Cheeks. Prior to the show, guests can enjoy Remedy’s half-price happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m before the drag shows begins at 7 p.m.

The newly opened The Getaway (4530 N Lincoln Ave) will donate $1 from every Prairie Rainbow Sherbert beer.

The Owl (2521 N Milwaukee Ave) will donate $1 from every Moonstruck cocktail sold. The cocktail is $14 each and features rye whiskey, Meletti Amaro, Aperol, pineapple, and lime.
