Andersonville Chamber of Commerce Presents CULINARY BATTLE ROYALE

Saturday, May 18 from 5 – 8 pm

Local Chefs Jacquelyn Lord of The Dinner Belle and David Welch of Kitchnstudio will face off in an epic showdown at Culinary Battle Royale, presented in partnership with the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce’s on Saturday, May 18 from 5 – 8 pm at Care for Friends food pantry, 5749 N. Kenmore Ave. in Chicago. The two culinary artists will each create a mouth-watering meal using only pantry staples at Care for Friends. The winning Chef will return to Care For Friends to make and serve the same meal for the food pantry’s clients. A cocktail hour before the competition will feature musical entertainment by singer-songwriter Vivian Garcia. Tickets ($75 per person) are available here.

All proceeds will support Care For Friends' mission to tackle Chicago’s food, housing and healthcare crises through an all-inclusive, no questions asked approach that provides easy access to critical resources.

About the Chefs

Chef Jacquelyn Lord is a classically trained chef with over a decade of kitchen and catering experience. A summa cum laude graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, she is fluent in numerous culinary styles including French, Mediterranean, Italian and classic American fare. Chef Jackie loves serving her community, elevating comfort food into truly memorable experiences and spreading love one meal at a time.

Chef David Welch is professionally trained at Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School in San Francisco, CA and has worked under Food Network’s Tyler Florence (Wayfare Tavern) and Top Chef/Iron Chef America’s Stephanie Izard (Girl & the Goat). You can watch Chef David compete on Food Network’s Supermarket Stakeout, Season 4, episode 1. Chef David has also worked with many recognizable food brands and companies such as KitchenAid, Google, TikTok, Nike, Clorox and was a Pride Ambassador for KraftHeinz in 2021.
