Car Salesman Found Dead After Taking Customers For Test Drive: Reports

CHICAGO — A car salesman from Rockford was found dead in Chicago after he took customers for a test drive and never returned, according to reports.

Crisóforo Osorio González was a manager and mechanic at 21st Auto Sales and took two people for a test drive Friday, according to WTVO.

The next morning, a man in his mid-30s from Rockford was discovered with gunshot wounds to his head and back around 6:45 a.m. in the 3600 block of West 26th Street in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, authorities said, adding he was pronounced dead at the scene. No one was immediately in custody and the investigation was ongoing, according to police.

The test drive car was also found in Chicago, WTVO reported. González’s family believes he was kidnapped, according to WGN.

“We are all devastated by the loss of Crisóforo Osorio González or better known as 'Nikitas' and we were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral,” said a GoFundMe started in his name. “We want to give Cris the tribute he deserves, honor his memory and say goodbye for the last time.”
