CHICAGO — For the fifth year in a row, Chicago has been named the best big city in the country by Conde Nast Traveler. The lifestyle magazine's popular Readers' Choice Awards reflect the views of more than 800,000 survey-takers, according to Traveler.

Chicago edged out New York, New Orleans and Boston to take the top ranking. The magazine called it a "world-class destination known for its impressive architecture, first-rate museums, brilliant chefs, and massive brewing scene."

The magazine cautioned that it take several visits to fully explore Chicago's 77 neighborhoods, but added, "no matter where you go, [you'll find] some of the most pleasant people you'll find anywhere."
